you're not supposed to believe in everything you see on the talking box, but,
with Bourdain, i believe everything !
experiencing is, indeed, believing, baby... and Bourdain always makes me travel the world without moving an inch (well, sometimes i move a couple, towards the refrigerator or kitchen in hoping to find something similar that he eats and i always fail to do so... haha how can i find Mortadela sandwich??? or rotten shark meat?? in my house.)
he's so cynical i almost fall in love with him (regardless of his age or his grey-ing hair), he hates karaoke to the bone i almost feel ashamed that i enjoy it hahaha, he eats a lot of good food (and plenty of bad one too) i almost forget about my diet, he drinks too much like breathing i almost believe alcohol is necessary for your happiness (eh eh eeehhhh), and the most important part is he sees so many beautiful places, meets beautiful and friendly people, and still survives. (although he admitted that some places were just dull, the food were not so good, and the people who accompanied him were bunch of *&&^$$#@) :D
my fave episodes are when he's in China, Sao Paulo, Iceland (poor Tony, ha ha), Korea, Las Vegas!!, and of course (finally.. thanks so much, youtube!) the one where he's in Indonesia, the one international conflict ocurred HAHAHA, this episode is the Funniest of all.. and the most enchanting (not just because i'm Indonesian heh heh)
ps. ok, this program is not a movie, not a documentary either.. just, Get Lost...!! 
 | i think it already aired.. waktu itu pernah yang dia sama tim-nya makan di restoran padang, and his cameraman knocked off all the plates.. :) hope he comes back again! too many good (and wonderfully weird) food in indonesia..

| yeah Tony (hey, you have the same nickname as Bourdain! hehe).. he's one of the reasons i still watch TV until now heheh.. big thanks to Discovery Travel&Living.. haha go Bamboo, he thought that Bali was his end of the road.. i'm surprised that he loves Durian (i love it too btw :P do you??). besides Bourdain, i love Lonely Planet's Asha Gil and Passport to Europe/Latin America's Samantha Brown.. heheheh.. i envy them!!! |

I just woke up when I wrote my first reply & didn't realized that my english was so bad...he, he, he! I love DURIAN yum! There's another show on the Travel Channel called "Bizzare Foods" the host of the show is Andrew Zimmern, this guy is like an "international garbage disposal"...he just eats anything!!! He's funny though. He eats snakes, ants, slugs, armadillo...anything, bbuuuuuuut CAN NOT STAND or EAT DURIAN!!! This guy can't go "Bamboo" in Southeast Asia...he, he, he

Zimmern! the baldy guy! i don't like watching "Bizarre Foods", it's too..umm..bizarre.. hahaha.. but, whaat?? he couldn't stand Durian?? shame on him.. shame on him.. :P Bourdain rules! but, Zimmern and Bourdain got something in common : "profound hatred for Stinky Tofu (chinese food)" hahaha.. it's like a death row to them i guess.. ;)

| hahahaha.. yes, heaven on earth.. ngomong2 tentang kuliner indonesia, waktu itu william wongso pernah bilang, masakan di indonesia itu enak-enak dan sangat beragam, makanya mengherankan bahwa masakan kita bisa kalah pamor sama masakan thailand, malaysia dan vietnam.. kalau bourdain atau zimmern mau jelahain masakan indonesia bener-bener, bisa jadi dua season sendiri kali ya..? 'heaven on earth'? sama sekali tidak berlebihan... | ya bayangin aja, segini luasnya negara, berpulau", bersuku", dengan makanan daerahnya masing-masing.. beragam banget.. dan enak!! (hehe kl selera sih masing" kali yee) tp emang macam-macam!! wah kl zimmern mau jelajahin Indonesia sampe ke pedalaman" gt sih, seru banget, mgkn dia bisa menemukan sesuatu yg bs buat dia jd lbh milih makan duren hehe.. gue nunggu" nih Bourdain ke indo lg.. dia kan suka yg spicy, hrs ke Manado! :D
